Abstract
10,507. Goldschmidt, R. May 4, 1911, [Convention date]. Armatures and fieldmagnets.-A high-speed rotor comprises an annular portion divided into separate segments a which are separated from each other by radial slots s and are independently attached to two arms of a radiating hub portion b. By this construction, no centrifugal forces are transmitted from any one to any other of the segments, but the forces on each segment are separately transmitted to the radiating portion. Narrow bridges may be left at the base of each slot s. The invention is applicable to high-frequency generators used in wireless telegraphy and telephony.
