Tripod and like stands. - Telescopic posts, particularly masts for wireless telegraphy, lifting-appliances, and telescopic supports of all kinds, are made with telescopic tubes which are operated by toothed or friction gear engaging with the peripheries of the tubes. The base is made by providing struts 3, pivoted on lugs 2 and held by tie rods or cords 4.
