Skates.-Relates to skates in which one or more rollers are rotatably mounted on a hub f, Figs. 1 and 5, having a rectangular slot e through which passes a spindle d pivotally connected to the hub by a pin g, means being provided for ensuring the return of the roller to the central position. The hub is provided with ball-bearing surfaces for the roller, and the material forming the running surface of the roller is clamped between two cups h, k which screw together. The spindle d is square in cross-section, and springs u tend to return the roller to the central position.
