Abstract
28,013. Uschakoff, I. Dec. 19. Fare tables; timetables.-Maps &c, are so folded and slit as to enable a small area of any part of the map to be readily exposed. An example of the method is shown in Fig. 10. One strip C<1>-C<6> is in one piece, while the remainder are slit at alternate sections, as shown at a. a, a<1>, a'. The divided strips are then folded backwards, as shown in side elevation in Fig. 7. the printed face of strip C<1>-C<6> being outwards. The whole is then folded in the usual accordion-like fashion. Covers are attached either at opposite erds or both at the same end of the strip C<1>-C<6>, which strip is not necessarily symmetrically arranged with respect to the divided strips. Cross-pieces c of linen &c. prevent tearing of the main strip C<1>-C<6>, and projecting index flaps may be attached to each pair of sections in each strip. The end strips A<1>-A<6>, E<1>-E<6> may be shorter than the others.
