Wedging or jamming.-The toothed lifting- yoke f described in the parent Specification is arranged to engage toothed quadrants l fixed upon internally screwed nuts i which are centrally disposed in cavities in the valve discs b, c and enclose a screwed member m. The nuts are prevented from moving axially in relation to the discs by means of collars and flanged screwed rings, as shown. In a modification, axial movement is prevented by an arrangement of co-operating annular grooves with balls enclosed therein.
