Abstract

1518535 Camera dolly S ZELLI 25 Aug 1975 35199/75 Addition to 1485483 Heading B8H A support trolley for cine or television camera and an operator comprises a telescopic arm 15, 16 pivotally mounted to a slider 17, movable along a chassis, and extendable by an hydraulic actuator 18. A pair of struts 20 are pivotally mounted at one end to the chassis and at the other ends are fast with a shaft 19 mounted on the arm section 15. A first wheel 21 is also fast with the shaft 19 and a chain 40 is secured at one end to the periphery of the wheel and at its other end to the axis of a second wheel 20 mounted on the arm section 16, whereby extension of the arm causes it simultaneously to luff. A further endless chain 23 extends around both wheels 21, 22 and also sprockets 37, 39 to cause the second wheel to rotate upon extension of the arm. A link 23 is fast with the second wheel and together with links 28, 30 forms a parallelogram connected to the camera support 26 to maintain the altitude of same as the arm extends and luffs.
