1517410 Slow diffusing air fresheners S C JOHNSON & SON INC 20 Dec 1976 [5 Jan 1976 53037/76 Heading A5B Slow diffusing air fresheners comprise a perfume inside a container having at least one surface of a film of a polymer permeable to the perfume only in the vapour state e.g. polyethylene, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene oxide, hydroxymethyl cellulose, starch, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride or vinyl chloride -vinylidene chloride copolymers. Preferably the container is completely formed from the film and is in the form of a sachet. The perfume may be absorbed on a carrier e.g. silicates, fluorosilicates foams, glass wool, papers, cardboards, non-wovens, textiles, talc, silica or blotting paper. The air freshener may also contain a diluent e.g. alcohols, α- olefins, silicones, mineral oils, non-ionics, surfactants and/or paraffins.
