Abstract

1502414 Umbrella holders D C ACKLAND [trading as MANOR DESIGNS] 21 Feb 1975 [21 Nov 1973] 53951/73 Heading A4U An umbrella holder is detachably or permanently affixed to a structural member 2 of a golfing cart or trolley, the holder comprising a socket 1 for receiving the handle of the umbrella, mounting means for mounting the socket 1 to the member 2 in an orientation which is adjustable with respect to the structural member 2 and securing means for securing the socket 1 in a desired orientation. In the embodiments of Figs. 1, (4,5, 6 not shown), the socket 1 is mounted by a pivotal mounting bolt (5) and has an adjustable strut 9 with a slot 11 for receiving a securing bolt 3. In the embodiment of Figs. 7, (8 not shown) the socket 1 has a stem 13 extending from the base 7 thereof with apertures 14 to receive members 18. Clamps may also be utilized to secure the socket to the golfing cart or trolley.
