Abstract

1500826 Spiro compounds CENTRE EUROPEEN DE RECHERCHES MAUVERNAY 26 Sept 1975 [27 Sept 1974 4 Aug 1975] 39548/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula where A is O or S, R 1 and R 2 are H, C 1 -C 6 alkyl or aryl and X is H, halogen or C 1 -C 6 alkyl. The compounds may be prepared by reacting a 2-phenoxycyclohexanone and a compound of the formula in the presence of an ammonium salt and a dehydration catalyst in an aromatic solvent. The compounds may be used as stimulating agents or psychotonic agents.
