Abstract

1486835 Seals; universal joint covers VOLKSWAGENWERK AG 18 Sept 1974 [18 Sept 1973] 40635/74 Headings F2B and F2U A resilient sealing boot for a universal or drive joint in a motor vehicle is formed internally without any reverse slopes, which could trap a return flow of any lubricant (moving along the wall of the boot), which had been spun out of the joint. Segments of the boot may be demarcated by ribs 13 or steps (Fig. 1, not shown).
