1478339 Recording and playback BRITISH BROADCASTING CORP 19 Dec 1975 [19 Dec 1974] 54922/74 Heading G5R A record 10 having a plurality of parallel tracks S is played back by at least an equal plurality of heads H, signals representative of the recordings on the respective tracks being produced (Fig. 4, not shown) in spite of lateral wander x of the record by combining the signals from the heads in proportions controlled by a signal which is generated from the output of at least one of the heads (as shown, from heads H0, H1, H4 and H5) and is dependent upon the lateral position of the record relative to the heads.
