Abstract

1463303 Valves J YOUNG (SCIENTIFIC GLASSWARE) Ltd 27 Aug 1974 [10 Sept 1973] 42531/73 Heading F2V [Also in Division B1] A burette tap comprises a glass outlet portion 2 of the burette and a frusto-conical plastics closure member 14 which is received in the outlet portion, is attached to a screw-threaded actuating cap 4 and a delivery tube 13 and is provided with a delivery passageway 11 having access ports between the sealing part of the closure member and a sealing 0-ring 15. The cap is held in position by O-rings 8 and 9. The 0-rings 15 and 8 may be replaced by raised portions on the closure member formed by machining.
