1449003 Acid resistant steel VERINIGTE EDELSTAHLWERKE AG 3 Sept 1973 [4 Sept 1972] 41342/73 Heading C7A A ferritic or austenitic-ferritic steel alloy of composition: - C 0 to 0.05% Si 0 to 0À5% Mn 0 to 2% Cr more than 27 to 32% Ni 0À5 to 9% Mo 3.5 to 5.5% Co 0 to 4.5% N 2 0 to 0À15% Ti 0 to 0.6% Fe and imps balance. such that Ti is present only when Co or N 2 are present. The alloy may contain phosphorus and sulphur in amounts up to 0.04% each may be heat treated at 1100‹C for 30 minutes, water quenched and used in enviroments comprising water, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid.
