Abstract

1435171 Retractive switches SUMLOCK ANITA ELECTRONICS Ltd 9 May 1974 [11 May 1973] 22538/73 Heading H1N A keyboard comprises a plurality of pushbuttons 5 located in a cover-plate 4, each pushbutton 5 co-operating with a strip of electrically conductive material secured by a tag 12 to a base-plate 8 and having a resilient part 11a with a free end normally extending towards the pushbutton but capable of being moved on depression of the pushbutton towards a fixed contact 9, Fig. 4 (not shown), on base-plate 8. Each moving contact consists of a plate 11 of gold plated nickel silver formed with a helical cut and deformed in an open spiral to form the resilient raised part 11a. The fixed contacts 9 are made of gold-plated phosphor bronze wire. Each pushbutton 5 is provided with antirotation flanges. The keyboard is used in an electronic calculating machine with batteries 6 and an integrated circuit board 7 which includes the calculating circuitry.
