Abstract

1405245 Dispensing liquids BRITISH OXYGEN CO Ltd 31 July 1972 [30 July 1971] 35877/71 Heading A4T [Also in Divisions B1 and F2] An apparatus for dissolving gas in a liquid and then dispensing the so-formed gas-charged liquid has a chamber 12 and a sequentially operated valve system operated by a single control 66 to partially fill the chamber with liquid via valve 44, to pass gas into the liquid through orifices 77 in tubular rod 76, to vent the space above the liquid to atmosphere via pipe 60 past valve member 64, and to dispense gasified liquid via valve 52 actuated by hollow tube 76. The sequence of operation is controlled by cams 70, 72 and 84 on the control 66, 68 actuating the respective valve members. The supply of gas may be from a bottle via a pressure regulating valve, and the liquid supply may be from a storage tank Fig. 1 (not shown). Dispensers may also be provided for syrups to allow the gasified liquid to be mixed therewith to form gasified drinks.
