1402826 Automatic exchange systems SIEMENS AG 28 Feb 1973 [29Feb 1972] 9904/73 Heading H4K In a PCM tdm telecommunication system in which high bit rate information signals or code words to be transmitted for wide-band, e.g. video or facsimile connections are distributed over a plurality of equally spaced time channels, time channels for low bit rate information signals outgoing from a tdm exchange are initially selected from a series of equally spaced time channels having a time interval of at least one time slot, until all the channels of said series are seized, any further low bit rate signals being assigned to a further series of time channels having a different time slot interval, until all the time channels of this further series are seized. In an exchange a single intermediate storage cell is used for each connection.
