Abstract

1385518 Hearing aids FUR ELEKTROAKUSTIK AG 18 Dec 1972 [30 Dec 1971] 58383/72 Heading H4J [Also in Division H1] An in the ear hearing aid comprises a first part containing a microphone 15, a printed circuit 13 on the periphery of which is mounted an amplifier 14, and a volume controlling knob 4 and the first part releasably connects with a second part including a transducer 5 and a battery receptacle 7 by means of a bayonet type fastening which also provides an electrical connection form terminal pins 16, 17 on the circuit board via contacts 9a, 10a to the transducer 5, a battery 8 being sandwiched between a contact 10b and a further contact (not shown) carried by the circuit board 13. A cap 3 couples sound received from a tube 6 in a cylindrical cavity 22 to the ear via bores 23, the cap being arranged to prevent dirt entering the tube 6 and being removable for cleaning. The bayonet type fastening may be replaced by one of a screw threaded type.
