1380706 Moulding electric sockets PRESSAC Ltd 11 Jan 1973 [21 Dec 1971] 59276/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division H2] A trough-like metal socket 1 is embedded in an insulating moulding compound which penetrates holes in the socket to key the internal and external regions 10 and 7 together. Inturned edges 8 and rib 11 are formed in the socket to contact a mating pin, space for which is provided by inserting, during moulding, a temporary core 9 of diameter slightly larger than the contact pin.
