Abstract

1374420 Carpet sweeper: roller brushes PRESTIGE GROUP Ltd 25 Nov 1971 [14 Dec 1970] 59250/70 Headings A4F and A4K A carpet sweeper brush is provided with inclined tufts 5 at its ends which project laterally from the sweeper to sweep into wall-floor corners. The inclined tufts 5 may be the same length as the other tufts 2, or may be longer as shown. Further rings of similarly inclined tufts may be provided adjacent to and inwardly of the tufts 5 shown in Fig. 1, Figs. 7, 8, 9, (not shown). Inclined tufts may be provided to sweep under the driving wheels 3. The tufts 2 may be arranged in helical rows and may be of bristle or fibre. The tufts 5 may be of bristle, fibre, felt, sponge or rubber. The casing 7 may be arranged such that it is closer to the brush and deforms the tufts 5 within the casing, or the brush may project beyond the casing. A three part dustpan or a single dustpan may be provided. The sweeper brush may be driven by driving wheels or support wheels, or by means of a band, and a driving wheel may be provided on the end of the brush.
