Abstract

1371447 Protective circuits for television time- bases SABA SCHWARZWAELDER APPARATE - BAU - ANSTALT AUGUST SCHWER SOEHNE GmbH 13 Sept 1972 [21 Sept 1971] 42472/72 Headings H3T and H4T [Also in Division H2] A protective arrangement for a television receiver has a main switch 1 tripped or actuated by a solenoid 9, or a motor, connected in the anode circuit of a thyristor 8, to the control electrode of which is applied the harmonics arising at a capacitor 3 of a smoothing circuit on the occurrence of a picture tube flash-over. Alternatively, the control electrode of the thyristor may be connected to a transistor so that the thyristor may be rendered conductive in the event of undervoltage and to a Zener diode which breaks down to render the thyristor conducting in the event of overvoltage, Fig. 2 (not shown).
