1360858 Colour television camera PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 24 June 1971 [27 June 1970] 29702/71 Heading H4F An arrangement for reducing the disturbing effect of chromaticity errors in colour TV camera signals relating to picture areas of low luminance comprises a threshold circuit 26 receiving the three colour outputs of the camera after gammacorrection at 5-7 and black-level clamping at 8-10, and operative when all three fall below a given threshold to attenuate at 27, 28 the colour-difference outputs of matrixing circuit 15. Alternatively the attenuation may (broken lines) be effected at 29 to the combined quadrature-modulated colour-difference signal obtained by use of subcarrier oscillator 19 and modulators 16, 17.
