Abstract

1355952 Steam generating turbine power plant SULZER BROS Ltd 17 Jan 1973 [22 Jan 1972] 2478/73 Heading F4A [Also in Division F1] In an arrangement in which a steam generator 2 is supplied with hot exhaust gases from a gas turbine system 1, feedwater is passed through preheaters 46, 47, 50 heated with steam bled from a second-stage turbine 43, then through a flue gas heated preheater 28 and finally through evaporator 24 and superheater 27 before passing to a first-stage turbine 41; a re-heater 29 being provided in a position to receive no more heat than the preheater 28. As shown the reheater 29 is positioned downstream of the preheater 28 but in another embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) they are arranged side by side to receive equal heat. The gas turbine system comprises an air compressor 5, a combustion chamber 7, and a gas turbine 8, and the burner 21 of the steam generator receives both exhaust gases from the turbine 8 and fuel.
