Abstract
1326868 Cathode ray tubes TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO Ltd 11 April 1972 [16 April 1971] 16679/72 Heading H1D [Also in Division C4] A C.R.T. has flourescent screen of Ce activated BaY silicate. A mixture of Y 2 O 3 , BaCO 3 , SiO 2 and CeCl 3 is heated at 1350C in a reducing atmosphere and quenched. The resulting phosphor is deposited on the C.R.T. faceplate in a suspension of H 2 O, water glass and K 2 SO 4 . An Al coating is added over the phosphor. The C.R.T. is used as a flying spot scanner in video reproducing and facimile copying apparatus.
