1326123 Radio systems INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 19 April 1971 [21 March 1970] 24816/71 Heading H4L In an arrangement for occasional transmission of information on road conditions over a radio channel in which the transmission normally includes a pilot tone, the pilot tone is suppressed during the occasional transmissions so that receivers equipped with means for recognition of the reception of the carrier without a concurrent pilot tone may switch on the otherwise disabled audio stages, or apply the demodulated occasional program instead of some other program material to such stages.
