Abstract

1312296 Air, land or water craft AKADEMIE DER WISSENSCHAFTEN DER DDR 14 May 1970 23357/70 Headings B7A B7G and B7V An air, sea or land vehicle has a body 1 of drop-shape aerofoil in longitudinal cross-section, Fig. 1, and is provided with undulating wave generators 2 beyond the trailing end of the body and rotatable undulating wave generators 4 before the leading end and rotatable about a transverse axis. Two trailing wave generators each include drive means 5 rotating four blades and also include static wave levellers 3. Two leading wave generators 4 each have similar drive means 6 and rotating blades 4 with the body 1 acting as a wave leveller. Rudders 11 on fins 10 and elevators 8 on stabilizers 7 control the craft in flight. By varying the angle of attack of the blades, lift variation and hovering manoeuvres are performed. In another embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) there are nacelles (12) on each side of the body having portholes and front rudders are provided. The body may be made buoyant by the provision of gas compartments.
