Abstract

1308208 Television RCA CORPORATION 28 July 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 36469/70 Heading H4F In a system wherein individual line scans of a message image are multiplexed in sequential vertical blanking periods of a television signal, each line scan is separated at a receiver and converted to parallel form in a shift register of N stages to control the light transmission or reflection of corresponding ones of a row of N liquid crystal cells until reception of the following line scan. Successive lines may be recorded on an element moving in a direction normal to the row of liquid crystal cells, e.g. photographically or electrophotographically, to synthesize the complete image.
