1287800 Arc interruption in switches COMPAGNIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE 5 Dec 1969 [11 Dec 1968] 59625/69 Heading H1N An electromagnetic contactor for a highfrequency (400 Hz or above) circuit has its relatively movable contacts 1, 2 adjacent a core 3 of magnetically soft ferrite ceramic material having a pair of polepieces 5a, 5b of a "low loss" material not subject to considerable hysteresis effects at high frequencies. One or more turns 4 of the main conductor surround the core 3.
