1280192 Collapsible cases T BOX 30 Oct 1969 53278/69 Heading B8P A collapsible case having side walls 11, 12 hinged to a bottom wall 10 includes locking devices 16 which extend from flanges 15 on opposed walls 12 and which are interengageable with apertures 14 in opposed walls 11. Each locking device 16 is arranged at a specific acute angle (α Fig. 2) with the adjacent side edge of the associated wall 12 and each aperture 14 has a linear edge 17 inclined at the specific angle (α) with the adjacent side edge of the associated wall 11. When the case is erected a channel-like recess defined by the locking device 16 and the flange 15 interlocks with the linear edge 17. The upper edge (21, Fig. 2) of each aperture 14 includes a triangular projection forming a snap lock arrangement. An alternative arrangement for the locking device, Fig. 6 comprises a triangular locking member 32 spaced from the flange 15<SP>11</SP> by a strip-like projection 31 of a width substantially equal to the thickness of the case walls. To lock the walls 11, 12 together, the member 32 is inserted through an aperture 30 in the wall 11, the wall 12 is then rotated outwards until the projection 31 abuts the edge of the aperture 30 adjacent to the side edge of the wall 11 and is snap-locked in position by a projection 34 on the lower edge of the aperture 30. The case may be made in a single moulding operation having all its walls integrally formed or alternatively the walls may be formed separately and joined by hinges.
