Abstract

1279024 Photographic processing apparatus POLAROID CORP 5 March 1970 [6 March 1969] 10703/70 Heading G2A Film units of the type having a rupturable container of processing fluid which fluid is spread as a layer 96 between a pair of film elements 54, 56, the elements being secured in face-to-face relation at their lateral edges by external binding strips 62, is processed by passage between a pair of pressure applying member 80, 82, the surface portion of one of the members being provided near its end sections, and only near its end sections, with shallow recesses 94 so that lateral edge portions 60 of the binding strips are disposed within the recesses and the end sections of the surface portions of the pressure members are engaged with and spaced apart by the binding strips at the lateral edges of the film unit. The pressure applying members are rollers and a film unit is advanced therebetween by rotation of the rollers.
