Abstract

1,270,023. Caps for containers. STERLING SEAL CO. 18 April, 1969 [18 April, 1968], No. 19866/69. Heading B8T. A closure cap for a receptacle comprises an inner threaded skirt 11 having an upper portion which is integral with an inner end wall 10 and a lower end which is integral with the lower portion of an outer skirt 13, the top of the skirt 13 being turned inwardly at 15 to meet an outward top wall plate 20 at 14, thus securing the plate 20 in position. The end wall 10 may be made of a more flexible material than the outer wall plate 20. In further embodiments, Figs. 5-7 (not shown), the outer top wall plate (417), (517), (717) is supported in position by the engagement of the outer skirt (413), (513), (713) with the edge of the said top wall plate.
