Abstract

1,227,912. Adjustment Aid for Cameras. JOS. SCHNEIDER & CO. OPTISCHE WERKE. April 21, 1969 [April 23, 1968], No. 20182/69. Heading G2J. In order to facilitate the adjustment of the image plane of a variable focal length lens 1 having zoom 12 and basic 13 lens parts, a projector 2 is arranged at right angles to the optical axis of the lens 1 so that an image is projected between the zoom 12 and basic 13 lens parts by means of a beam splitter 10. As shown, the projector 2 comprises an axially adjustable, silvered lamp 3, a ground glass system 4, a divergent lens 5, a condenser arrangement 6 having a grey lens 6<SP>1</SP> filter, a three-plane diapositive 8, a light path extending glass block 15 and an axially adjustable projection lens 9. The projector 2, via the partially reflecting surface 11 of beam splitter 10, projects the image of diapositive 8 into the image plane 14 for superimposition with that of an object produced by lens 1. The lens 1 is suitable for television or film cameras.
