Abstract

1,221,282. Medical dressings. PRICE BROS. &CO. Ltd. 8 Jan., 1969, No. 1201/69. Addition to 1,029,210. Heading A5R. A radical dressing comprises a sterile body of foam material 2 sealed within a package (as in the parent Specification) in which the sheet of foam material is provided with a layer of impermeable backing material 10, on one side, or separate from the body of foam material (Fig. 2). The backing 10 may be provided with adhesive material 4 on the overlapping portions 3 covered by overlapping strips 5, 6 of paper to be peeled off before use. The foam material may be polyurethane, and the backing may be plastics material, e.g. polyvinylchloride, polyurethane, polyethylene vinyl acetate, polyvinylidene chloride and other polyvinyl halides, polyolefines, polycarbonates, and polyesters for example, polyethylene terephthalate.
