Abstract

1,218,035. Nodular graphite cast iron. TRAFIK-AB. GRANGESBERG-OXELOSUND. Jan.10, 1968 [Jan. 13, 1967], No.1471/68. Heading C7A. Cast iron containg nodular graphite in the form of III-graphite has the composition (wt %):- C 2-4À5 Si 0À5-1À8 Mn 0À1-2 Fe apart from impurities and incidental ingredients - balance. Incidental ingrients may be:- inoculated SiCa and/or SiMg to produce entectic cells; elements such as Cr, Ni, Mo, Co and Cu to increase thermal resistance; elements such as Nb, Ta, V, Ti, Al and Zr to counteract any increased depth of white iron layer caused by the Cr, Ni, etc.; and 0À01- 0À03%N.
