Abstract

In a radiographic inspection device, the position of the radio-active source within the device is determined, accurately, photographically. The gamma radiation source, 1, is surrounded by the dense metal cylinder, 15, slotted at 16. A film, 20, is mounted round the periphery of 15 and images of the slots, 16, are formed on 20, the position of the source being indicated by the position of the darkest image on the film.
