Abstract
1,204,058. Boxes. DANAPAK, MEJERIBRUGETS EMBALLAGEFABRIK A.m.b.A. 7 Aug., 1968 [3 Nov., 1967; 26 March, 1968], No. 37672/68. Heading B8P. A box 10, Fig. 1, of polygonal, e.g. square cross-section, has at least one pair of inset end closure flaps 12, 14 each connected by two parallel fold lines 20, 22 and a hinge panel 24 to the adjacent box wall, initial folding of the flap 12 to closed position presenting two slots 28 along the fold line 22 of that flap for subsequent engagement by locking tongues 30 on the flap 14. Flaps 16, 18 are folded down on to the flap 12 before the flap 14 is locked in place. The flaps 16, 18 may have similar slots and locking tongues 28, 30. Notches 32 facilitate opening the flaps 12 &c. The box 10 may be lined by an insert shell 34, Fig. 4, spaced from the box walls, and folded-over at its top end 36 to fit within the gap between the flap hinge panels 24 and the box walls. The side edges of the panel 12 may each have an upstanding tongue (56), Fig. 5 (not shown), for engagement in a complementary notch (58) in the hinge panels 24 of the flaps 16, 18.
