Abstract
1,196,581. Fertilizer distributers. L. GREGORY. 6 Sept., 1967 [8 June, 1966; 2 May, 1967], Nos. 25552/66 and 20261/67. Heading A1B. Hand held apparatus for distributing granular or powdered material comprises a container 4 and a generally fan-shaped distributer 1 having a narrow supply end and a wider exit end and includes a sheet base 5 provided with upstanding ribs 6 so as to form channels 14 which divide the areas of both the supply end and the exit end equally. As shown a fan-shaped extension apron 2 is releasably attached to the exit end. A delivery throat 3 is provided at the bottom of the container and two angled flaps restrict the rate of flow. In a modification the container includes a tapered funnel portion and a circular rod is movably mounted in the funnel portion to vary the rate of flow.
