Abstract

1,188,721. Coating by hot dipping. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. June 28, 1967, No.29763/67. Heading C7F. A rod, sheet, tube or strip of e.g. copper is coated with e.g. copper by passing it through a bath 5 of molten copper and out through a tube 9, whilst maintaining an inert atmosphere of e.g. dry nitrogen above the bath at such a pressure as to maintain a continuous flow of nitrogen through the tube. The coated rod is cooled e.g. by a water spray.
