Abstract

1,188,522. Portable containers. C. W. CUSSONS. 10 May, 1967 [11 May, 1966], No. 20861/66. Heading B8D. A liquid container with two plane sides has an outlet pipe 20 to which a draw-off hose 26 from a pump may be attached, in order to empty the container, and a filling neck 14 closed by a cap 16 having a breather hole 18. A ball valve 30 may be provided either in the hose 26 or in the outlet pipe 20. In a modification, the outlet pipe 20 is incorporated within the cap 16. The container may be of metal or transparent plastics material. A number of the containers may be arranged side-by-side, e.g. in a holder, for sequential coupling to the draw-off hose, the unconnected containers then being available for refilling.
