[Also in Division F4] The gas filter claimed in the Main Patent is modified in that the inlet 6 and outlet 8 are coaxial and formed in the same wall 2 of the housing. As described, outlet 8 is secured relative to inlet 6 by wings 9. In use, gas flows in as shown, through filter element 27, into the pressure governor 14, and out through seating 22 and outlet 8; but if the pressure is excessive, a diaphragm 17 (which communicates with the gas stream via openings 31, 32) is distended upwardly, raising stem 20 and hence tending to close seating 22 by plug 21. Tension in spring 24 is adjustable by means of a plug 25. Should lid 3 be removed, skirt 16 slides over O-ring 11.
