Abstract

1,160,105. Hydraulic accumulators. ALFRED TEVES G. m. b. H. Oct. 3, 1967 [Dec. 17, 1966], No. 45031/67. Heading F1P. In an hydraulic accumulator having a cylinder 2 in which slides a piston 19 separating a gas space 11 from a liquid space 5, sudden pressure surges in the liquid not absorbed immediately by displacement of the piston 19 are absorbed by the deformation of a resilient partition 7 loaded on one side by gas in a space 14 and subjected on the other side to the liquid pressure communicated thereto through passages 16-18. The gas spaces 11, 14 are connected by a passage 13. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the flexible partition is annular and is subjected exteriorly to the gas pressure and interiorly to the liquid pressure.
