Abstract

1,159,113. Knitting. J. C. DOUGHTY. 10 Jan., 1967 [14 Jan., 1966; 29 Jan., 1966], Nos. 1974/66 and 4026/66. Heading D1K [Also in Division A3]. A knitted garment is provided with draw threads 12, 13 and welts 14 which allow portions 11 of the garment to be removed to reduce the garment in size or form. The drawthreads 12, 13 are incorporated in the garment during manufacture as shown in Fig. 5. The drawthread 13 .may be of a contrasting colour and may have a button, tag or frog attached to it to facilitate its removal. The drawthreads may be incorporated in a knitted dress so as to allow the skirt, sleeves and collar to be shortened or so as to allow the sleeves and skirt to be removed.
