Abstract

1,101,857. Inductor. BLACK & DECKER Ltd., and P. W. KING. 28 Sept., 1966 [28 Sept., 1965], No. 41153/65. Heading HIT. Two leads are wound similarly on a limb 5 of a ferrite core, and are connected to singlephase A.C. motor 3 in such a way that the operating current I 1 , I 2 passes through the coils so formed in opposite directions, with opposing flux effects # 1 , # 2 and has little reactance presented to it. An interference current from motor 3, however, will pass through both coils in the same direction, with additive flux effects, and will meet with a high reactance and be attenuated. Double coils of this kind may be wound on two limbs of a core, and be connected as shown for an additive effect. Suppressors of similar construction may be used with D.C. and polyphase motors.
