A dropper holding fence wires 10 in spaced relation comprises a length of wire 11 bent to provide pairs of loops 12 receiving certain of the wires 10, a separate wire helix 13 engaging intermediate fence wires 10, and a common. locking rod 14 passing through the loops 12 and helix 13; Further 'wire helices 13 may be used as desired. One or both ends of the locking rod 14 may have a lateral hook engaging an adjacent fence wire 10.
