Abstract

1,058,466. Electric battery lamps. BANTAM LITE Inc. Nov. 7, 1964, No. 45489/64. Heading F4R. An assembly for incorporating in items such as keychain fobs, keycases, address books &c., consists of a holder 25 having a cavity to accommodate a disc-shaped battery 27, an opening 25e extending from the cavity to the front of the holder to receive a capless light bulb 26 having trailing leads 26b, 26c, the former contacting one terminal of the battery, a leaf-spring switch 28 anchored to the front of the holder and contacting the second lead and means for retaining the battery in the holder. The cavity may extend through the holder and be provided with a ledge 25d on which the battery rests. The retaining means may be a strip 29 of adhesive tape or the inside of the cavity may be ribbed to grip the battery. Holes 25g, 25h are formed on the top surface of the holder to receive downturned lugs 28b on the switch 28. The lead 26G is held on the bottom of the battery by the adhesive tape and the lead 26c is passed through a hole 28a in the switch. The whole is enclosed in a two-part casing having an aperture in the top to receive a push-button for operating the switch.
