Abstract

1,057,126. Laminates. TICKOPRES Ltd. Jan. 11, 1965 [Oct. 15, 1962], No. 40680/63. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions B6 and B8] A label strip comprises a series of paper labels 11, (Fig. 1, not shown) coated on their undersides with a rubber latex or other pressuresensitive adhesive and mounted on a paper backing 10 which is coated with a silicone or other release agent and punched with regularly recurring single or multiple holes 12 permitting positive feed of the strip through a labelling apparatus. The strip may be made continuously by apparatus (Fig. 2, not shown), in which a paper web is coated with pressuresensitive adhesive, united with a backing web between rollers and cut, by means which does not cut the backing, into individual rectangular or rounded labels or, by removing cut-out parts, into labels spaced on the backing, the latter thereafter being formed with a regular sequence of holes or U-shaped cuts, made by punches or cutters which do not penetrate the labels.
