1,046,146. Shoe cleaning applicator pads; holders for cosmetic applicator pads. KNOMARK Inc. Feb. 8, 1965 [April 14, 1964], No. 5461/65. Headings A4F and A4V. [Also in Division B8] A single use applicator package containing an applicator pad and a liquid such as a shoe polish or a cosmetic, comprises a shallow container 10<SP>1</SP> having a radially extending peripheral flange 20 to which is detachably sealed a cover 13 of laminated sheet material having a layer 14 of metal foil on its inner face to which is adhered an absorbent pad 15a substantially saturated with the liquid to be applied, and the cover 13 has a finger grip 18<SP>1</SP> to permit ready removal thereof from the container 10<SP>1</SP>. The flange 20 may be extended adjacent the finger grip 18<SP>1</SP> as a tab 21.
