The backbone 1 of the carrier is provided with a sleeve 9 and if desired, a sleeve 8 which slidingly accommodate a handle member 10 so that by reciprocation of the handle struts 29, 30 pivotally attached to the lower end of the handle 10 effect movement of the parallelogram leg structures 15, 16 and 17, 18, between inuse and collapsed positions.
