Abstract

1,015,730. Hinges. H. K. BREWER. Nov. 26, 1964 [Dec. 18, 1963], No. 50002/63. Heading E2F. A hinge comprises two plates 1 and 10 provided with tabs 3 and 11 adapted to securely grip reduced diameter portions of a pivot pin 4 and a bush 5 respectively, each plate having a projection 13 and indentation 14 of dovetail shaped profile whereby separate hinges may be attached together so as to form an elongated multiple hinge, fig. 3 (not shown). The bush 5 is closed at one end 6 and has an annular recess 8 at its open end arranged to hold a quantity of lubricating grease and within which a washer 9 fitting over the pin 4 can be seated, the washer acting as a seal to the exterior.
