[Also in Division F1] The piston-rod 5 of a gun for extruding mastics is advanced by means of a trigger 10, which pivots about a pin 11 in handle 8. The trigger advances the rod by means of a link 22 which tilts a plate 24 to grip the rod. The link 22 pivots about a pin 21, movable relative to the pin 11 in slots 18 formed in the trigger 10 by means of a screw 20, to vary the mechanical advantage of the trigger.
