The invention relates to the design of computer-aided kitchen layouts and more particularly to the layout of a kitchen unit comprising at least one piece of furniture and/or at least one piece of equipment on a kitchen counter.

Technology background

Computer-aided design for kitchen layout is very widely used nowadays by professionals to facilitate and speed up the design of kitchen layout but also to be able to provide a customer with a quick and precise overview of his future kitchen. . The manageability of the computer tools used and their ability to adapt a previous layout to the wishes of a client are key points of these tools. In addition, such devices provide an important aid to sales by allowing a customer to see on a screen a faithful and precise representation of his kitchen layout. However, some of these computer tools can be slow whether it is to update a previously calculated kitchen layout or to provide a rendering of a newly calculated layout on a screen.

It is therefore essential to improve the computer-aided designs of kitchen layouts so that, on the one hand, updates and renderings are as fluid as possible and, on the other hand, that the layouts produced are usable. subsequently for the actual order of the kitchen thus arranged.

arranging, in each linear section of the stretched kitchen block, said at least one piece of furniture and/or said at least one piece of equipment of the corresponding chosen combination according to kitchen arrangement rules which depend on the spatial dimensions of the layout of the kitchen in the room and/or locations of openings and electricity and water networks; And

display, on a screen, a two- or three-dimensional representation of said at least one piece of furniture and/or of said at least one piece of equipment arranged in the combination chosen for each of the linear sections of the stretched kitchen unit according to the range of furniture and desired equipment.

The device 1100 further comprises at least one memory 1102, by a volatile and/or non-volatile memory and/or comprises a memory storage device which can comprise volatile and/or non-volatile memory, such as EEPROM, ROM, PROM , RAM, DRAM, SRAM, flash, magnetic or optical disk. This memory 1102 and/or this storage device can be adapted to memorize a catalog of furniture and kitchen equipment, combinations of furniture and equipment or even favorite equipment.

The computer code comprising the instructions to be loaded and executed by the processor is for example stored on the memory or the memory storage device 1102.

The device 1100 also comprises a graphical interface comprising, inter alia, a screen 1106 and at least one graphical interface means 1107 (Graphic User Interface, GUI). The display screen 1106 corresponds for example to a screen, touchscreen or not, and the means 1107 correspond to a mouse or a pad of a computer or any other interfacing means which gives the possibility to a user of interacting with the elements of the device 1100, in particular on those displayed on the screen 1106.

The graphical interface can be used by a user to define, at least partially, a kitchen plan.

The graphical interface can also be used for a user to select a format of a kitchen block B. The user can also define a stylus and select desired equipment from this graphical interface.

A format of a kitchen block, a style, a range or even equipment desired can be presented in the form of drop-down menus displayed in a window on the screen 1106. The graphic interface means 1107 is then used to select one or more items in these menus.

A kitchen plan and a kitchen block B can be displayed on screen 1106.

In the event that the type of kitchen block B indicates that an island is desired, the graphical interface may not initially place this kitchen block B against a wall of the kitchen plan. This kitchen block B can then be stretched within the limit of the kitchen plan and the stretched kitchen block BE can then be in contact with a wall of the kitchen plan.

In case the type of kitchen block B indicates that a low, tall or column unit is desired, the GUI can also be used to place kitchen block B against a wall of a displayed kitchen plan on the screen 1106, and stretch this kitchen block B within the limit of the kitchen plan. The stretching of the kitchen block B can be done directly on the screen 1106 by pointing, for example a cursor (graphical interface means 1107) on an end or a particular point of the kitchen block B and by moving this cursor.

The furniture and equipment of a kitchen layout can be displayed on the screen 1107 and each furniture, equipment or combination of furniture and/or equipment and/or each COM combination can be moved on the kitchen plan displayed by the graphic interface means 1107.

According to a particular embodiment, the device 1100 comprises a block 1103 of interface elements for communicating with external devices. Block 1103 interface elements include one or more of the following interfaces:

- RF radiofrequency interface, for example of the Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi® type;

- USB interface (from the English "Universal Serial Bus" or "Universal Serial Bus" in French);

- HDMI interface (from the English “High Definition Multimedia Interface”, or “Interface Multimedia Haute Definition” in French);

According to another particular embodiment, the device 1100 comprises a communication interface 1104 which makes it possible to establish communication with other devices. The communication interface 1104 corresponds for example to a transmitter configured to transmit and receive information and/or data via a communication channel 1105 such as for example a catalog, an element of this catalog (furniture, equipment, COMB combination, …) or a kitchen arrangement, are exchanged. The communication interface 1104 comprises for example a modem and/or a network card and the communication channel can for example be implemented in a wired and/or wireless medium.

Data such as for example a catalog, an element of this catalog (furniture, equipment, COMB combination, …) or a kitchen arrangement, are exchanged using a Wi-Fi® network such as according to IEEE 802.11 via a point of access. Communication between a 1100 device and an access point can then be established using a wireless communication protocol such as Wifi® (according to IEEE 802.11), for example in the 2.4 or 5 GHz frequency bands, or Bluetooth (according to IEEE 802.15.1), in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. A wireless access point can also communicate with another access point by a wired connection (or "backbone" in English), for example of the MoCA type (from the English "Multimedia over Coax Alliance" or in French " Multimedia alliance on coax”), Ethernet, PLC (from English “Powerline Communication” or in French CPL “Courants Porteurs en Ligne”), POF (from English “Plastic Optical Fiber” or in French “Fiber Optique Plastique”) or even ITU G.hn (corresponding to the standard for next-generation home network technologies from ITU, from the English “International Telecommunication Union” or in French “Union internationale des Télécommunications”).

Data can also be exchanged using a cellular network such as a 4G network (or LTE Advanced according to 3GPP release 10 – version 10) or 5G.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above but extends to the implementation of any online service requiring user authentication to access the online service.

Claims (10)

Method for generating, by computer means, an arrangement of kitchen furniture on a kitchen plan of a room reserved for the installation of a kitchen, said kitchen plan defining spatial dimensions of an installation of the kitchen in the room and locations of openings and electricity and water networks, said method is characterized in that it comprises the following steps:
obtain (100), via a graphical interface, a kitchen unit grouping together a desired type, style and range of furniture and/or equipment, said furniture and/or equipment of the desired style, type and range being available in a catalog stored in memory;
positioning (200) the kitchen unit in the kitchen plan via the graphical interface;
obtaining (300) a stretched kitchen block by stretching the kitchen block within the kitchen plan boundary via a graphical interface;
choose (400), a combination of at least one piece of furniture and/or of at least one piece of equipment per linear section of the stretched kitchen block from among a set of candidate combinations from the catalog, a combination chosen for a linear section being the one which minimizes a distance between the length of said linear section and the length of the chosen candidate combination;
arranging (500), in each linear section of the stretched kitchen block, said at least one piece of furniture and/or said at least one piece of equipment of the corresponding chosen combination according to kitchen arrangement rules which depend on the spatial dimensions of the layout the kitchen in the room and/or locations of openings and electricity and water networks; And
display (600), on a screen, a two- or three-dimensional representation of said at least one piece of furniture and/or of said at least one piece of equipment arranged in the combination chosen for each of the linear sections of the stretched kitchen block according to the range of furniture and equipment desired. Method according to claim 1, which further comprises a step for determining (700) if at least one additional piece of furniture, chosen from favorite furniture in the catalog, can be accommodated in a space of a linear section of the stretched kitchen block left vacant by said combination chosen for said linear section; If this is the case, said at least one additional piece of furniture chosen is added in said linear section, and said at least one additional piece of furniture is also arranged according to the kitchen layout rules. Method according to Claim 5, in which for a stretched kitchen block comprising two linear L-shaped sections, the cooking and washing zones are associated according to the location of openings and/or electricity networks or defined by the kitchen plan and the lengths of the two linear sections. Method according to claim 5, in which for a stretched kitchen unit comprising three U-shaped linear sections, the cooking and washing zones are associated according to the presence or absence of a wall near the end of the linear section, according to a distance between the two linear sections facing each other, according to locations of openings and/or electricity or water networks defined by the kitchen plan and according to the lengths of the three linear sections. Method according to claim 1, which further comprises a step for determining (1000) a presence and dimensions of spinners, plinths and/or flanges on each linear section of the stretched kitchen block as a function of distance between ends of linear section of the stretched kitchen block and kitchen counter wall. A method according to claim 8, wherein the plinths, spinners and other cheeks relating to a linear section are adjusted when a cabinet is added in said linear section.
